To make my butter, I used Avalon Organic Whipping Cream. Pour the whipping cream into your jar and start shaking for about 12-15 minutes. You'll know it's ready when you can see it separating into butter and buttermilk.
Strain off the buttermilk and save it for baking!
Pour cold water just to cover your butter and give it one last shake to clean off the excess buttermilk and strain.
Move your clean butter into a bowl and mix with a fork to squeeze out any trapped water or milk.
Salt to taste, if you like, and you're done!
Spread on some fresh bread and enjoy.
